英語教育ユニバーサルデザイン研究会（英語UD研究会）関東支部の6回目の勉強会を開催します。　2018年は「アクセシビリティを高める指導と支援」を軸に、講座・講演に加え、参加者同士で「英語教育のユニバーサルデザイン」について、考えたり話し合ったりする時間をたくさんとっていきます。

今回の第1部は、Adrian Leis 先生（宮城教育大学 准教授）
Universal Design in English Education: A perspective from the growth mindset
ーマインドセットの観点から英語教育のUDを考えるーと題して、ワークショップ形式の講演を予定しています。今回の使用言語は英語です。

第2部は　アイディア・シェア会 です。

当研究会には、英語教諭、大学教員、民間教室等の指導者、支援員など　様々な立場の方がいらっしゃいます。参加者同士、知識や経験をシェアして、生徒にとってより良いアプローチを考えていきましょう。ぜひご参加ください。

2018年は12月にも定例勉強会の開催を予定しています。

　第１部　講義・講演　ワークショップ

「Universal Design in English Education:A perspective from the growth mindset」
　　ーマインドセットの観点から英語教育のUDを考えるー

　Dr. Adrian Lies 先生 （宮城教育⼤学）

概要：
The growth mindset has received a lot of attention in various areas of psychology and education over the past two decades. In recent years, there have also been many discussions related to the growth mindset in foreign language education. In this talk, I describe the growth mindset and summarize studies conducted in both psychology and second language acquisition. While suggesting various pedagogical implications to strengthen students’ growth mindsets, I will also discuss what the growth mindset means for universal design in English education. This lecture will not be one-way, and it is expected that attendees will be active in their participation.

講師紹介：
Adrian Leis is an associate professor at Miyagi University of Education. Since coming to Japan in 1997, he has taught at a wide variety of academic institutions, including English conversation schools, elementary schools, and junior and senior high schools. In 2010, he began teaching at Miyagi University of Education and received his Ph.D in educational informatics from Tohoku University in 2016. His research focuses on foreign language learning motivation and computer-assisted language learning. Adrian has given more than 200 lectures and workshops throughout Japan and abroad, published over 50 research papers, and authored a number of books, including the Ultimate Listening dictogloss series.

　第２部　アイディアシェア会「マインドセット指導に生かそう 」

第2部は参加者がそれぞれの経験や知識を共有しながら作り上げるワークショップです。それぞれの立場から、さまざまな視点で、指導方法や工夫の仕方を考えます。

今回は第1部のワークショップをもとに、指導環境ごとにマインドセットをどのように自分たちの指導に生かせるかのアイディアシェアをしていきましょう。
